Why can't I get hot water in my kitchen?

Electric water heater is fairly new and both bathrooms have nice hot water, but kitchen faucet and dishwasher won’t even get hot enough to wash dishes. It’s probably around 100 degrees. Pressure is OK, though not great. It’s a single lever style faucet, installed in April this year when we bought the house.

House is built on a slab with all plumbing running through concrete, but since a bathroom on the same side of the house as the kitchen has good hot water, it probably isn’t the long trip from the heater that’s cooling the water down. (it’s maybe 30′)

thanks for any and all suggestions. I hate to think I need to jackhammer these floors to solve the problem!

Should I install kitchen faucet with an angle?

I bought the hansgrohe kitchen faucet and really like it. Now that I am installing it on granite counter top I am running into a problem that the level motion is obstructed by the backsplash/wall and wouldn’t swing completely in the back direction. I really like the faucet and contemplating if I should have it install a little diagonal so the lever would swing both ways enough. Do you think it will look fine with an angle? The other option is return it and get one with different lever system (one with above the faucet) but I do really like this faucet.

Here is the link for my faucet http://www.amazon.com/Hansgrohe-Pull-Out-Kitchen-Stainless-06697860/dp/B000UO2MCU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1266556343&sr=1-7

my moen kitchen faucet is giving me fits?

my wife tore up the lever. cussed because it was getting hard to operate the moen for life duh huh faucet and I looked on the net and found moens site and it suggested that you use plumbers grade silicone lubricant on the cartridge.so i cut off the water supply to the house,
I took the cover off and removed the screw and I removed the spicket,I removed the nut and I removed the clip but the damn cartridge wont budge. at this point I would normally tear the dayum faucet up and cuss the manufacturer, however, if anybody out there knows a dang trick to remove dat cartridge please be oblidged to tell a pur old man from south alabama that caint afford ta buy anuther dayum kitchen faucet. I took my water pump pliers and held the top of the cartridge and bumped the bottom upwards to try and get the dang cartridge to come out but it wont dangit…what do I do?
