I raise the kitchen faucet lever up, but maybe there isn’t enough water pressure to keep it there. It falls slowly and I have to lift it again. Is there some spray or something I can use to increase the friction?
Actually I just found the answer on the faucet website. Donald M had it right. There was a small cap, popped it off and then tightened internal "screw" with phillips head screwdriver and that solved it.

At the place where the control lever attaches to the faucet assembly, there should be a cover nut. It will be knurled or perhaps even hexagonal in shape. The water flow inside the faucet assembly is likely to be controlled by the position of a round ball with holes in it. The lever is connected mechanically this ball/valve. You may tighten or loosen this cap nut in order to place as much or little pressure on this ball/valve as feels comfortable to you when you operate the control lever. But, in any event it should be tightened at least to a setting which will not allow the lever to drift downward. Be cautious…do not over tighten the nut and ruin the seals. proceed only a little at a time until it feels good…
It sounds like something is loose. a picture of the faucet would really help. try twisting the base of the faucet. is there little grooves around it if so just tighten it with a pair of pliers you want want to wrap the facet with a towel so it doesn’t get scratched.
