I raise the kitchen faucet lever up, but maybe there isn’t enough water pressure to keep it there. It falls slowly and I have to lift it again. Is there some spray or something I can use to increase the friction?
Actually I just found the answer on the faucet website. Donald M had it right. There was a small cap, popped it off and then tightened internal "screw" with phillips head screwdriver and that solved it.
Its a lever, not separate knobs. It is loose and wiggles. I have to play with it to get the faucet to stop dripping.
I tried an allen wrench. The one that fits in the whole doesn’t turn. It just gets stuck. What should I do?
The handle it not tight, that is the problem. I tried an allen wrench after reading Earl’s answer and it didn’t work. The allen wrench gets stuck and the handle doesn’t tighten. What else should I try? Could I need a new screw?
simple machine- flushing a toilet. my school project. 95%!!! we had to use at least 5 simple machines. the faucet handle was turned on by a wheel and axel in which the water flowed down an inclined plain that was held to the faucet by a wedge and a screw (don’t ask how it was trust me it was hard to do) pouring into a bucket making the bucket sink causing the weight on the pulley connected by two shoe laces to pull off the lever with a fulcrum of a roll of toilet paper with two other weights on the other side attached by another shoe lace attached to the toilet handle to drop and flush the toilet. help from mom and sister.
I have tried purging the air bubble several times by shutting the water main and then letting all faucets run for 15 minutes. I still get "knocking" thereafter when I quickly shut the kitchen one-lever style faucet (hot water-side only). I installed 2 screw-on mini hammer arrestors to the washing machine, but they aren’t doing the trick.
I have a Moen single lever faucet in the kitchen. It has had a steady drip for a while now, so I figure it may need a new cartridge. I removed the handle just to get an idea of what I’d be working on and then put the handle back on. The handle will now move up as normal to turn water on, but it won’t move back down. I have to press down at the base above the valve to shut water off. I’m sure I put the handle back on correctly because it only fits over the valve one way and has a single screw. Any ideas what’s wrong?
I have a single lever price fister kitchen faucet that comes out from the base and can become a sprayer. My main issue is with the handle. I can either turn the water on all the way or off. When I pull the handle anywhere in the middle for less water pressure it turns itself off. There is a screw for the handle that I have tightened as much as possible but it still won’t work. How can I fix this? thanks in advance!
my wife tore up the lever. cussed because it was getting hard to operate the moen for life duh huh faucet and I looked on the net and found moens site and it suggested that you use plumbers grade silicone lubricant on the cartridge.so i cut off the water supply to the house,
I took the cover off and removed the screw and I removed the spicket,I removed the nut and I removed the clip but the damn cartridge wont budge. at this point I would normally tear the dayum faucet up and cuss the manufacturer, however, if anybody out there knows a dang trick to remove dat cartridge please be oblidged to tell a pur old man from south alabama that caint afford ta buy anuther dayum kitchen faucet. I took my water pump pliers and held the top of the cartridge and bumped the bottom upwards to try and get the dang cartridge to come out but it wont dangit…what do I do?
I have a disc faucet in my kitchen sink. there is leakage for which I want to pull the faucet handle out. I was able to remove the cap on the top of the faucet with a screwdriver, then removed the single screw to free the faucet lever. but I could not pull out the lever.
